OK so I thought I had deleted my shoe blog but I checked and it was still in my drafts YAY!!!




There is nothing like a nice sexy pair of shoes. I <3 shoes, specifically pumps and stiletto's and here's my picks for 2012. Same rules apply. They go from bitch please to go ahead treat yourself. Lets start with the bitch pleases.

The Christian Louboutin Stud embellished lace and metallic leather pumps. I mean need I even say anything? Words cant describe the hotness level of this shoe. Studs, lace, red bottoms and a high stiletto heel all in one? They're $1495 and in the bitch please category. I wont be wearing these either until Im a ballin ass RN. But a girl can dream cant she?

Prada Patent Leather Flame Slingback Pumps... Yeah I know it might look a little weird . But I like weird. Im sure the cutouts all over the shoe contrast really well with the skin on your foot and look at that little airplane wing thing on the back! LOL. Yes yes and more yes. I would rock the hell out of this shoe. Its $990 though and in the BP

category. 

Dior Gradient Python Peep Toe Platform pumps. Unique, different, and Im sure they look amazing with dark denim. They are also $990. Wont be walking around in these anytime soon. This shoe concludes the bitch please category for this particular blog. Next we move on to the if you deserve it category.

*DID YOU EARN IT*

This is the Giuseppe Zanotti Snake Print Metallic Leather Pump. This would be awesome with a fitted pencil skirt or a sexy little black dress. Its $750 and its in the earn it category. When I graduate I can have these simply because I made it and got that degree.

Next up is the Fendi superstar metallic platform pump. Its $635, its an awesome shoe and I love the monogram logo on the heel. I dont care too much for designer shoes that have the logo plastered all over. This is subtle but it still says hey hoe I got on some hot Fendi shoes. This can go with anything and these are also in the earn it category.

Gucci Noah Animal Print Pony Hair and leather d'orsay pumps. These are $695, in the earn it category. Do I need to say why I like them? I mean its freaking Pony hair and leather for crying out loud. #FANCY

 

 

Gucci Charlotte Peep Toe Wedge Pumps. I dont own many flat shoes at all but I would rock these. These are $495 and you can throw these on if you want to be fly but comfortable. Jeans shorts capri's or whatever would be fine to wear these with. These are under $500 but I still feel like they need to be in the earn it category because I dont need to be walking around in Gucci flats til I've walked across that damn college stage to get.... you guessed it. MY DEGREE




its 1:00 am. Im tired. I got more shoes I like but Im done for tonight. The shoes I post tomorrow will be shoes I can afford at the current moment in my life as a little treat.

THE LUST LIST- Bags

Goodness, I've already been excited just because of spring and summer fashion but I always get excited about my lust list.

The lust list is all the things I want right at this moment but I cant have, to include bags, shoes, and jewelry. This blog has the possibility to get kind of longwinded so Im going to break it into two blogs. A bag blog and a shoe/jewelry blog

Currently here's what I desire and the categories. They go in order from bitch please to yeah thats do-able but you have to deserve it, to yeah you can get that for yourself for your birthday maybe. Lets go.

*BAGS* 

The Gucci 1970 Medium Python Shoulder Bag.

 I mean just LOOK at it. Its $3950.00 This is in the bitch please category. I can only have this once I have actually LANDED a nursing job. And not only do I have to have landed the job, I think I have to have gotten a nursing sign on bonus or something of that matter as well as actually been in my position for atleast 6 months.

Actually on 2nd thought. Fuck that bag. Im not ever spending $3950 on a bag I dont care if I run the damn hospital. Its nice to look at though.

Moving on. The patent leather louis vuitton bag. Its $2300.00  I love it because its just HOT. And durable... You dont have to worry about the wear and tear of a canvas bag. I have a gucci hobo and I tore that bad boy up. I would post a pic but naw. Well maybe I will post a pic.....lol. But bag lovers nationwide would just slander me for the way I treated that bag. Anyway, I would whip my own ass if I brought a bag like that right now. This isnt in the bitch please category but its in the motto category. My motto is if you dont have the amount of money you paid for the bag INSIDE the bag or your bank account. You cant have it. Nope. You just cant.

With that being said we move to The GG Twins Guccissima large hobo bag. She's $1260 and she's in the you earned it category.
I can get myself this type of bag when I graduate nursing school. Like hey chick you worked hard and passed the N-clex. You're officially licensed to be a registered nurse. Go treat yourself.

The Last 2 we have are the Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Q Fran tote bag for $448

And the Marc by Marc Jacob CLASSIC Q Hillier HOBO HANDBAG. This is probably my favorite affordable bag for the moment. I love hobo and shoulder bags, and this is both combined. If things go right I'd like to get this one for my birthday. Its $448 but its a nice soft leather and I love the logo inside the bag. 

*update* its 12:41 and I just spent about 30 minutes on my other shoe lust list blog I was working on and I made a mistake and deleted it somehow. Im pissed now and I dont feel like finishing this bag blog. Im not even gonna proofread this one.

Springtime fashion has arrived!

SPRING IS UPON US

I get excited about this time of the year. My favorite seasons are spring and summer. Time to shed the big bulky clothing and sweaters and be chic and girly.

I may come back to edit this blog a few times but here are a few of the things I've had waiting to wear for the seasons. I'll do a separate blog on some of the things I lust for but cant have at the moment. =/

This shoe here is everything to me. All hail the heel-less shoe. I only own this one pair. I have only seen the heel-less shoe on a few celebs. From taking a look it appears that it might be a bit hard to walk in but they are actually quite comfortable because of the platform. I think they would look awesome with crop jeans or a really simple pencil skirt to bring out one of the colors in the shoe. People think they cant walk in them but if I can do it anyone can. (Im clumsy as hell)

Next item is the Pareo wrap.  I love these because there are so many different ways to wear it. Its basically like a huge oversized scarf but you can wear it however you choose. My fav way to wear them is in the middle photograph. This particular pareo I got from Target for only $19.99 but its beautiful and versatile.This can be worn for a night out on the town, to the beach, just about anywhere. Throw on a fab pair of shades and put your hair in a bun and you're ready to roll!

Now we have the classic shirt-dress. Another simple piece that you can spruce up in many ways. It has a belted strap that I tie around my waist to cinch it together. You can add some pop with a different color shoe or a statement necklace. Im thinking this would look awesome with a green neckpiece and pumps. We'll see :)

I love this shoe. doesnt look like much until you put it on. They were originally $172 but I caught them on sale as always and now they have dropped down to $59.00  :(

But Im glad to have them.

 I love fashion but I try to find things that are affordable. Until I get this RN degree I cant spend the way I want too but I know how to hook things up for little or nothing.

I never really set out to go shopping. I just pick up easy pieces here and there as I go along.

What do you do....

When someone you love, loses someone they love?

I know you're supposed to be supportive but sometimes I dont know what that entails. My heart goes out to my friend because he lost his grandmother. I dont know what it feels like to lose someone close to me. I just know how much it hurts me to know what he has to deal with mentally. I wish I could fix it and make it all better.
I wish I could take away the pain or grieving. But I know I cant.

What I can and will do though is be there with him in whatever way he needs me to be.
Time heals all wounds and Im there for the long haul so however long it takes we will get through this together. When people lose a loved one sometimes they dont want to talk about it or they dont want to hear people say things to make them feel better. Sometimes they might just simply need you to be there, maybe even if its just being in eachothers company but  being silent.

I decided to blog about this because I dont want to irritate him or bother him or be overbearing during such a sensitive time. I know he'll talk if and when he's ready. But I promise to pray as hard as I can for his strength through this. I wish I would have had a chance to meet her, but I know one thing. He was an awesome Grandson. Always there for her, always visiting. And he can rest peacefully knowing he was so involved.

I might not have the words to say but I'll be there to hold your hand every step of the way.

Things women notice about men...

When you meet a guy and you're really into him you put him through a series of tests as things progress. He normally doesnt even know he's being tested but thats the point, he isnt SUPPOSED to know.

These are some of the things I pay attention too when seriously dating someone besides the obvious things like chemistry, does he make you  laugh, is he stable, is he a stand up guy etc.

Most importantly a woman wants to know you're proud of her and that you're not trying to hide her. My friend posted pics of her and her guy friend together on instagram and facebook and the guy was totally fine with it. Im no certified love Dr...but I will tell you this. If you can publicly display the person you're dating, in a relationship with on a social media site and he gives you no shit about it thats part of him being a keeper. (Trust me I know the game) So post pics one day and see what happens and when you put a title on things hit him with the facebook status change. If he accepts it and allows it on his page awesome.

If a man gives you flack about something this miniscule it means that he's dealing with other women and you posting pics of the two of you boo loving is blowing his cover. If he's not serious about you than he'll say something along the lines of take that down I dont like people being all in my business. If he says this RUN. ---------------> 

You're just his sidepiece or fk buddy and those pics you all took on that fabulous date all hugged up are something he wants as just a memory in your mind. Not something for the world to see.

Next...how can I put this. Somewhere along the dating rollercoaster pick an argument. Something will come along that the two of you dont see eye to eye on. Stand your ground and get smart with him. You need to see how much he loves you, and HOW he treats you when he's upset. This can go a long way. You get to see a little glimpse into your future and you need to know what the protocol is for when you two are upset with eachother. Some people yell, some people shut down and give you the silent treatment......but he might haul off and smack the shit out of you.

If he does this RUN. ----------->  (and file a restraining order. He crazy)

Pay attention to what the two of you do together. Do the two of you go out often. Do you have dinner and go to movies and awesome dates. Does he open doors and hold your hand in public? If he does this is how its supposed to be. He's making it known this is my boo and he has no issues with the two of you being seen out.  If every nights a blockbuster night when you're together? Im sorry you're the sidepiece.  RUN------------>


These are just a few tidbits of information compiled from dating the WRONG GUY in the past. lol

I have a separate blog about women with children. Its a whole different ball game for us. If you have a child from a previous relationship there are some KEY things that you need to take heed to in order to know if he's the one.

The natural hair journey

This blog will only interest females Im sure   :)
Anyways, I started my natural hair journey about 2 years ago. It was July 2010. I had just gotten a fresh relaxer. Here's a pic of that day. If you notice it was very thin especially at the top. And breakage was a serious issue back when I used to get relaxers. I had split ends and my hair just wasnt thriving.

This was the day I decided no more relaxers ever. I had no clue what the natural journey would be like. But I knew for sure all the breakage and not growing had to stop.

This is my hair one year later July 2011. You can see it has thickened out nicely and added a nice amout of length. 

Women ask me what is my hair regimen.I go to the salon every 2 weeks and get a wash and condition with sulfate free shampoo and conditioner, than she blow dries it out and flat irons it with a chi.  I get whats called a keratin treatment about once every 3-4 months. A keratin treatment is all natural and its like a protein that coats the hair and prevents it from getting frizzy and sweating out in humidity. It also makes your hair much more manageable when it needs to be blow dried. And when you flat iron the hair its silky smooth, swingy and bouncy. I dont put any products on my hair in between salon visits.

Here are pics of my hair currently. This is thursday of last week after getting it blown out and flat ironed. Its kind of barrel curled. But this is how it shines naturally, no oil sheen or products are applied when she blows it out and flat irons.

And this is today May 8th :)

You can see it has grown SOOOOO much since 2 years back when I was relaxing it.

 In 2 more months I will be 2 years relaxer free. When my hair is wet I have alot of shrinkage and it curls up really tight. It goes from my shoulders to my cheekbones. I have maybe 2 inches of relaxed ends left. I chose to let the relaxer grow out on its own as opposed to doing the big chop and looking like a fucking chia pet. It aint for everybody =/

My hair is healthy and long and Im finally at a point where Im happy with it. I dont have the desire to add any extensions or braids. And with the progress of going natural there isnt even a need to have any extensions.  I'll keep updating my hair blogs and one day just MAYBE I'll post a pic of my hair when its wet.LOL

Today has been yet another one of those want to do it all days! LOL

School is a bit rough at the moment but I wont give up. My friend says I need to get a study buddy. But Im so anti when it comes to studying with other people. I like to have a quiet room and just focus to try to understand it myself. At this point though Im open to it. I have to pass nursing dosage calculations. Im so consumed and worried about not passing it that it gives me terrible text anxiety.



Anyway  Im just sitting here thinking gotdamn I want to do TOO much sometimes.

Im trying to finish school, start a business (this idea just came within the past 2 months)  get into radio, blog, learn to sew, cook half the good things I see on food network and be a mommy. WHEW!

I was SOOOOOOOO insired by a fashion site today. The thought of picking out my own unique fabric and making my own clothes just excites me. I needed a hobby anyway. So learning to sew will be my next small task. I'll take a class when I get a break in classes. And I hope Im good because if I am that will solve a world of issues with being so tall.  :)

I can make my own peacoats and skirts and tops for TALL chicks like myself. The peacoat struggle is real. Its nothing worse fashion wise than seeing something super cute and fashionable, you try it on and the sleeves are too short or the pants are too short. It super sucks.

So how much is too much?
I asked the question is it best to pursue multiple goals at once whether they be big or small?

They say dont be a jack of all trades but a master of none

In my mind that applies to the big goals in life. So my priorities in order are

SCHOOL/Parenting
GETTING the hell out of Richmond and moving to my new city
Learning to sew
Working on starting the business
Get into radio (intern possibly)

everything else will just come at random when I feel the urge.

sidenote: it feels good to be busy doing things. My mind is churning again. Not working had been driving my slowly insane. Now that I have school to do daily it gives me that gusto for life that had been missing a little.  Feels good to be up early in the am going somewhere
